New here ... just saying 'hello'!

Just stumbled upon this site, purely by accident! Looks great. I've been sewing since I was <12, and have designed wedding dresses and made 3-piece suits for my husband, lingerie, kids clothes, doll clothes, bathing suits ... I've pretty much attempted it all. I have no interest in it anymore. LOL! Burned out. But I found this site, and lots of cool projects, and even found several I might like to try. Found this while looking for an online, downloadable, free A-line skirt pattern (looked at some at JoAnn Fabric the other day, and almost had a stroke when I saw the prices of patterns nowadays! Yikes!)
I love to cook, so I'll be checking out that aspect of the site momentarily. Am planning on learning to make jewelry later this summer w/ a friend who is going to teach me, so I see there's a jewelry link, too! I've done counted cross stitch for years, so I'll check out the needlework link, as well. Looks like I could be spending a lot of time on here. :o)
