Hi,

I am LOVING this site, I just need my 3 year old to go to school full-time (September) and I'll be crafting like crazy! Happy I'm definately gonna try my hand at plushies - they're fab!

My avatar is one of my rats, Remy... a girly with a boys name - blame the kids *rolls eyes* ;)

So as a newbie what do you suggest I try first?...................

errrrrm where the hell do you start with over how many is it 1000 projects!!!? ummm TREE PLUSHIE! http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/happy_little_tree there's no how to but all you have to do is cut out the shapes and sew them together, maybe you could put a little face on the trunk instead of a button? Sew a face or button on first though Happy

here's a few other plushies you might want to check out: Felt domo kun (you could change the face is so many different ways!) and Toast which is basically just felt toast, so simnple yet so cute, imagine what it would look like if you added a cute little face! Just type the names into the search bar

oo god I forgot about felt toast I'll have to make that when I get some yellow felt!

I love making plushies Cat's plushy fortune cookie how to is a good I made one for my friend which had 'LUCK' in sewing on the fortune sticking out. I like making jewellery the most and knitting and crochet even though both knitting and crochet are on a hiatus because I've fallen out with both of them!!!

if you haven't already tracy go have a look at some of the softies on flickr (www.flickr.com), they are amazing, some would be a little hard to do as a beginner though but they're good inspiration.

Cat, rats are the best pets I have ever had (just don't tell the dog!) They come to their names, all have different personalities and love to ride on my shoulders when I walk the dog! Seriously!! Happy I have 5 at the moment, but my new cage will hold 12 (when it arrives)...... and I plan to fill it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy Happy Happy
