how do you get more likes on facebook?

I did a giveaway where I got people to like and share to enter the giveaway. I went from having about 50 likes to over 200 and have managed to hold onto them since.

It seems to go in waves for me. I'll post something really cute, then a few friends will like it and share it, and I'll shake down a couple likes out of that. I try to post a couple times a week.

I use etsy so I have tried a few "I'll like yours if you like mine" bits on their forums and sometimes I'll get a couple through there but mostly there people don't reciprocate. On a side note "pages" liking other pages don't count toward your page insights, just the people likes.

I guess what matters to me is that my likes are people who are genuinely interested in my crafts and posts so its a slow go.
