facebook or no facebook?
who thinks facebook is good...........is facebook a waste of time?
It depends. Sometimes Facebook is great since it gives you an easily accessible medium with which you can contact distant friends and family. The games can be a waste of time and money though. I mostly use FB now for political posts
So far it reminds me of Pinterest, because I have just been liking pages since I started it a few days ago. I'm only using it to connect to cutout and keep because I can't login the normal way. I really don't like facebook but now I need it to stay tuned in to the crafty world I have grown to love.
yup ur r8.........@geni
I use facebook mostly for networking (I'm an alternative model) and keeping in contact with friends overseas
I don't really think it's like pinterest at all. Like Monika, I mostly use it for mostly politics. I'm an intern for a progressive multicultural org at my school, so as of lately we've been campaigning for our senate candidates. Honestly, I've only ever used it for school clubs and orgs and communicating with people/publicizing for events/panels/rallies/meetings/etc., even while in high school. A lot of people treat it as a blog and post about every second of their lives, though...
edit: I forgot, it's useful for free/cheaper textbooks
I like Facebook at the moment as I have joined a local group in which members post very interesting historical pictures of times gone by.
I would agree that the majority of use is trivial - but thats life!
I keep my account for maintaining contact with friends and family but rarely use it. I agree that a hell of a lot of people use it to create drama which can be really irritating. The only other thing I use it for is for my shop as I have a facebook page to promote my shop but other than that my use is pretty minimal. I've recently started using path and prefer that.
I like facebook. I have a secret group with my close friends in which we make plans and discuss things for school and post pictures. We are the only ones who can see what we post so nobody else is bothered. I also have a IB group, in which the IB students and the teacher post stuff about class. I have also liked a few pages that post very interesting stuff about Celtic history and mythology. The page UGLY BELGIAN HOUSES always make me laugh and also does the page that post pictures of cats. Facebook also helps me to keep in touch with my dad and family that does not live near by. I spend a lot of time on facebook but time you enjoyed wasting is not wasted time. So I'm happy.
