Honestly i think you should just go for it but expect people to not like thdm. This may not happen but you never know and its better to be prepared. Also, you need a better picture for the fairy dust.

What kind of advice are you looking for?

I was looking for encouragement or reasons why I shouldn't other then the fact that OC crafts (or at least thats what I call them.) are unheard of and might be considered weird. My mom usually makes sure I don't do anything weird or anything I'll get made fun of for.

Josie j. is right, be prepared for people not to like what you have done because it isn't their style or any reason. You may think that you have made the most epically amazing thing ever, but other people may not see it that way, and family tend to be biased in your favour because they don't want to hurt your feelings or demoralise you.
If you are that worried and need your mother to make sure you don't get bullied then maybe you shouldn't put them on DArt. Asking people on here is just like asking your mother. You need confidence in yourself and not to take what haters say to heart. The internet is full of people who can be mean because they can get away with it. The worst that could happen to them? They get banned so they make another account, or their IP address gets banned so they just go somewhere else to access the website.
Think hard if you are ready to hear some stranger insult your work and can shrug it off/ignore it. If you can't then don't put it up there.

I've had a deviant art for 6 years and the people there are pretty nice. They'll sooner not say anything then go out of the way to be mean... There are lots (seriously, lots) of people there who will appreciate your work, and are interested in anime and crafts. It never hurts to post anything... you'll get complements, advice, tips and encouragement... the worst that can happen is it wont get a comment/fav+ and if so, so what?

As for not wanting to seem weird, I'm kind of dorky and it's not something I hide but I don't let it take over my life like some people do. Stick to what you like and don't hide, if you're afraid of looking dorky just remember there's a time and a place for everything... you'd be surprised how many people do "weird" things on their free time, it totally normal.
