Anyone else overly excited about Xmas yet!?

So I bought my first Gingerbread Latte of the year from Costa this week, Liberties of London (which is opposite my work) has already put up its christmas tree's and half of oxford street has its lights up too. When is it officially OK to start getting excited about christmas?

I always thought that anything after halloween was ok!? But when I came into work screeching "its the most wonderful timeeeee of the yeeeear!" Gingerbread Latte in hand, APPARENLY thats not ok yet!

Granted I am the only female in my department at the moment work, are the guys just being Scrooges?- Women- is anyone out there already buying gifts? (I started early october!) or starting christmas related crafts?

Share the madness! Would love to know its not just me!

Although I wont start watching christmas movies and putting up decorations untill Decemeber (1st) its at least ok to start thinking about it now, right!?

Of course it is! Us crafters gotta start early or theres no way we would finish all the xmas gifts we want to make for our loved ones AND decorate our homes in time for the big day. I've been picking up presents and stocking fillers since August, to help spread the cost.

Maybe you should keep quiet about it at work though until Dec the 1st and just silently celebrate the gingerbread latte (and the time of year). I'm sure your co-workers won't be complaining about it at the xmas party or when the xmas chocolates are doing the rounds in the office.

i've been wrapping all my daughters presents up this morning when she was in school! I've also bought that many different rolls of wrapping paper that everyone will have a different design paper Happy
I have made quite a few things already (started in september!), and have a list of things i've still got to make. I've always loves Christmas, but it's even better when you've got kids, as it gets really magical all over again!

I bet!

I'm making jewellery for the girls in the family and a few of my friends this year, I hope they like them. I'm ticking them off my list as we speak.

No kids to share christmas with yet, but im like a big kid myself around christmas anyway!

No way is it too early! Like Libby says, it takes a time to make all those gifts and decorations...I personally despise the transition into winter and all of the cold and grey it brings...getting exited about christmas in a way that actively involves you (like starting to buy or make stuff) is the perfect antidote to what would otherwise be a time of bleakness and despair...

Sore throat lozenges and insane gas bills...colleagues taking it in turns to ring in sick with flu and having to get up whist its still dark sucks. The smell of spice and booze as you prepare this years mincemeat and cake on the other hand, is delightful. Happy
