Confused
I've just seen 2 separate shops by 2 different people selling pretty much the same handmade plushies.
For some reason I feel bad for them both, selling the same thing and both thinking that they have had a unique idea :s
the first one i discovered:
http://www.buttfreckle.com/
and the second one:
http://www.etsy.com/people/WickedLittleMonsters
In my head it feels like there is some sort of moral dilemma, or am I just over-reacting?
Alright, I looked t the links you posted..
And um, I think they are kinda ugly to start with
But, they seem simmilar, not the same, to me.
But I agree with your bad feeling.
MY bad feeling is that on the first site they are all sold out, which looks either fake or uncared for to me((http://www.buttfreckle.com/category/one-of-a-kind))
with the buttfreckles they are only put up for sale once a week on a saturday and sell out quickly
to me, they seem like pompoms with eyes
I like the second one better- the first one looks like it's made out of trash.
i like the second ones better too, fluffier
They look like resellers to me, honestly.
The second one is cute(ish) but wicked little monsters sounds like lady gaga's fanbase.
The first one looks like it's made out of a ripped up cassette - and I don't even want to think where they got buttfreckle from.....
And Nikki, I know what you mean (sort of). I see lovely handmade necklaces not selling because of cheap mass-produced factory made necklaces selling at ridiculously low prices. Almost the same situation (using necklaces metaphorically).
Maybe we should have a contest as to who can make the best buttfreckle.... =P
I like the contest idea. My fiance's mom bought googly eyes.. now I just have to wait for one of the cats to cough up a hairball.
i have loads of different size and colour googly eyes and wool
