Reptile Expo!
So I just found out that around every three months theres a huge reptile expo in the toronto area. I went today with my bf and a pair of his friends and i must say it was AMAZING! There were so many different kinds of reptiles, exotic mammales, spiders, and frogs. Mostly though there were breeders of ball python morphs, leopard and crested gecko morphs, and beardies. And while we were there gasping at all the differnt and cool looking reptiles, we saw a baby Uromastyx lizard. Now we only saw a full grown breeding pair for sale, and wild caught reptiles. So we were dissapointed in the selection at first. Then we saw the Young captive bred Uro! Needless to say that my boyfriend left there four hundred $ poorer and had my christmas and birthday gift in a tank
The Nigerian Uro will live with him until we get a place together, but for being new to us, hes really friendly. I was just so over excited about all this that i thought i should share ( I`ll be putting up a picture when i see him again tommorow, oh and we dont have a name for him yet, but i was thinking rex)
Aww cute! I've always wanted to go to a reptile expo so I can get something exotic (although I already have a green basilisk). I love exotic pets, they're so much fun! Once you have a lizard you'll never want anything else as a pet, they're really fascinating to watch and learn from. I'd love to see a picture of your Uro! =]
Oh they had green basilisks there , mostly babys though. They are a very pretty lizard. But i dont know if i could deal with how big they get.And hopefully i should be getting a pic soon, i just have to get off my lazy butt and take one :p
They don't get very big, if you hear their fullgrown length then they sound huge but they have really small bodies
a baby Uromastyx lizard! I want a plated lizard so bad, and more turtles
There were some really pretty red sliders turtles at the expo as well. And a rescue group that was there even had an albino turtle of some kind that they were showing off to help get donations
