Heh, yeah, I've figured out the popularity of Callum over there. But here, it's relatively unknown. Aidan, and every crazy spelling of it imaginable is one of the most popular in the states. Along with Hunter, Jacob, Caleb, Joshua, Ethan, Evan, Zachary, Joseph....Lots of bible names. For some reason, overzealous Christians(I'm the cool, underzealous kind) tend to believe a 'Christian' name is a biblical name. Funny thing is, many of the people who popularized their names by being written about in said bible, weren't necessarily the first named that. Whatevs. I like semi-weird names. Like, different enough from the uberpopular boring names, but still far away from...Fruitcake XD
A mom friend of mine has 3 kids, Roth(named for David Lee Roth, who was the Adam Lambert of her teen pregnancy days), Taylor(a girl), and Craigen...which she made up. Her ex husband's name is Greg, and Roth's middle name is Gregory, so they didn't want to name the second son Greg as well, so she made up a semi-weird, semi-nifty name. I live in the South, so we tend to pronounce it Kreggin, and he and his family, who are from California, pronounce it Kray-gin. The mom is named Christina, but she's just Chris, and when people ask her what it's short for, she says Christmas 8D
Oh, since everybody's doing family boy names--my nephews are: Donald Ray III 'D.J.', Kylan Pierce, John Wyatt, Brandon, Jacob 'Jay' Brian, Dakota 'Cody' Jerry, Ethan, Nicolas Daltonn....
My brothers are Donald Ray, Jr. 'Don or Donnie', James Andrew, David Wayne, Jr., and Patrick Joel 'P.J.'.
My daughter was going to be Trystan Mekenzie if she was a boy...but she's a Kaitlyn Leslie (named after my Gram-Catherine and Gramps-Leslie)
