what crafts are you planning to do in 2010?
I am hoping to do more creative photography, learn how to knit, some paintings, to sketch more and pratise sewing
I am trying to learn to crochet, I got a dvd and a hook and some yarn but at the moment there is more pulling out and swearing than actual crochet going on. I'm going to do more sewing and also embroidery. I keep meaning to go back to drawing too=)
I plan to start taking sewing courses, so I can finally learn how to make patterns and stuff like that. Besides that I plan on making some drawings in oil painting for my walls, but I still don't know what I want to draw, and I plan to draw a gigantic lotus flower on my wall with acrylic paints.
And, if I manage to get a good camera I'd start doing photography. Oh, and finish a knit hat I'm doing for my best friend's mom, some fingerles gloves for a friend and another hat for my brother. That's it!
This year I want to craft more items for my etsy. Sew more clothing. Sew a Muppet quilt for my son. Make more of my own patterns for stuffies and bags. And add more craft tutorials to my blog and on here
I'm hopeing to learn more advance photoshop skills, create the felt characters for my stop motion animation, make some more dresses and finaly get a good photo of myself for my avitar
Im planning to sew a hooded scarf with ears, some drumstick holders from fused plastic bags, a cigarette holder for my husband, myself and some friends also from fused bags. Also I really want to knit somethig like this with small changes:
Oh,and I really want to finish my dreads, there is a small part on the back of my head that is not finished, because its hard to do it with the two mirrors. But I promised myself Ill do it before summer...
awesome
And its more awesome, because you can wear it as a skirt too. Im planning to knit it with purple and black thin yarn, with really thick knitting needles. So it will be reticulated.
I hope it will look as half as good as the one on the picture...
That's a really cool knitted piece Violetta, If only I could knit.
This year I want to learn to learn to crochet, make my very first quilt. I also plan on making lots of little jewelry pieces and nick knacks and hopefully open up a store on esty with all the things I make.
I am determined to make a dress out of the beautiful Batman fabric in Boyes this year. Hopefully I can do that in the next two weeks - I won't have anything else to do haha.
My problem is having the money, and fitting it around my uni schedule =(
I'm saving up for a PMC kit, I've got some cool ideas but it's all a bit expensive!
Every time I read this thread I find more things I want to learn to do lol.
What is a PMC kit please? It's probably blindingly obvious but my brains broken:p
Boyes is a brilliant store, when I lived in Brid I was in there all the time=)
I have no idea what one is either, so don't feel bad!!
I want to learn to knit or crochet, make my first quilt, sew clothes, and start painting a bit - if only to liven up some furniture bits!! Oh I also saw this really neat thing in a book yesterday, about making things by combining papers and fabric. It was AWESOME!! Maybe I'll figure out how to do that.... =)
PMC is precious metal clay....you mould it into anything you like, just like polymer clay, and then heat it with a blowtorch and it turns into silver.

I hinted for a starter kit for christmas, but no-one took it up! So I'm saving up for one myself...
oooh wow, cool!
