Meth anthetamine

Wow. I new it was bad, but I had no idea how bad. You now, they tell you you're hooked after just one hit, but I'd heard that about other drugs and new it wasn't true so it made it harder to believe it about meth. I know better now.

Yeah, not that I'd ever try it, but that totally puts you off even thinking about trying it.

I clerk for our local court and all I can say is you have no idea just how horrible it is. These people no longer resemble human beings. they age at an alarming rate. They pick their own flesh to bits and they smell.............ugh, the only thing I can compare it to is a litter box. They become human automatons with only one driving need........to get another fix. Sorry to be so graphic, but methamphetmine is like an epidemic here. Sadly though there seems to be no innoculation for it. You are right everyone should see the film. It is definitely scary.

I had a friend addicted to meth (sadly in my town its a common thing 9not to be racist, but a lot of the native American's do it a lot and it gets into the hands of the wrong people.) She died 2 years ago from a drug overdoes, which caused her to attack her self with a butcher knife. It's a scary thing. But hey, one good thing came out of it. We have a day in our school where during the breaks and a class of the day we have huge meetings and discussions on Meth, and they have a video of what happened before she attacked herself (which inst AS disturbing, but still scary) because of the party she was at. As well as people who are, and regret, being addicted to the drug come in to talk about it.

once i had 2 get 3 shots, i saw the needles and burst into tears

My god I read your first line as you had two injections in your eyes!

I don't mind needles. The only problem I had with them was having a tooth taken out and I opened my eyes and saw the dentist coming at me with a big needle. eek!

It's a terrible, terrible drugs, as those powders are all dangerous and rob you of who you are.

I started using meth when I was just 14, and was finally able to quit it once and for all when I was 16. Thankfully, since I was able to quit young, I was able to put the pieces of my life back together. One of the problems with meth is that it seems so wonderful at first, there seem to be no reprocussions and life is just this whirlwind of excitement and energy. But I never understood exactly how horrible it was until it was just too late. People who do meth have incredible paranoia and anxiety - they can come up with these crazy, twisted stories that seem totally plausible to them as to how and why everybody is against them. One time, I actually ran around my back yard one night for 8 hours, barefoot in January, chasing somebody who wasn't even there - it's embarrassing to admit, but it just shows how crazy it can make someone. You can be legally deemed insane if you haven't slept for four days, on meth, I once stayed up for three weeks. Meth also has more long-term side affects than almost any drug. It takes years for normal emotions and reasoning to come back. After quitting meth, you actually go through a series of emotional roller coasters as your brain tries desperatley to fix itself, which is why there is such a high rate of relapse in former meth users. You think you're finally okay, but after six months your brain kind of freaks out and makes you manic- tons of crying, paranoia, depression, etc and this is when most former users pick up the habit again. The drug puts a lot of stress on your body, mind, and spirit. My parents used meth, and it was like they were people I didn't even know, my parents even once threatened to have me killed because they thought I was an informant for the police. The horrible part is that I remembered how they were the years that they were sober. After years of on-again-off-again use, it finally put my dad in an early grave. He died just two weeks after his 38th birthday. I have endured a lot of hardships because of my use of this drug, as well as my parents use - but I've put it to good use. I tell my story often, hoping that it could possibly save someone's life. I've already saved at least one person. I've shared my story at meetings, and one time, I had a woman who had been coming to the same meeting for a few months come up to me and tell me that I shared at her very first meeting and what I had gone through brought her back time and again, still off of meth.

So, if anybody thinks that this is a glamorous drug and wants to try it - don't. If you are just starting to use - stop. Do yourself, your friends, your family a favor and stop before you lose who you are. There is no relationship, no love, no friendship that can withstand meth. All of your relationships with anybody you know and associate with will be ruined. This drug is pure poison.

yeah pretty much the same here, started using meth when I was 13, quit at 14 and had my last hit ever at 16.
It is literally a NASTY drug. I lived with a man who cooked once and too see the chemicals I put in my body now make me sick. it really is a horrible drug. I have seen sooo many friends go down on meth (and heroin) its very sad. I feel bad for putting my family and friends through it all.
At first it was so fun to be able to stay up all night drawing and listing to music or playing cards with friends. It defiantly helped me improve my art skillz, not to mention all the weight I lost, but after awhile you can start to see a change in yourself (if your looking) your skin looks terrible from picking zits that aren't there that you wish were, your hair will fall out and you just become totally unkempt. Also like most drug addicts you pretty much become a scumbag. just worried about yourself. well, I guess I have known a handful of genuinely nice junkies.....

I have always condoned experimentation but you need to know your limits and always be wary of getting yourself a habit.

That's probably only because people at my school give assemblies once a week about drugs D:
It gets kind of tedious.

But those of you who have gotten off of any drugs should be even prouder. Seriously. I heard it sucks being addicted and that it's very hard not to be.

Meth is a horrible drug. I have never done illegal drugs, but I have had many surgeries which required narcotic pain meds like morphine, fentanyl, and vercet. I have to say that I would be addicted to those drugs if I had access to them daily. It's so strange that these compounds can have such a profound effect on the human body and mind and every aspect of life, really. I wish that people could just stop poisoning themselves with these things. And with alcohol. People don't realize that the feeling of being drunk or high is a direct result of the drug effecting your brain and organs, slowly doing damage.
