What film has made you cry ?

the one that really made me cry was "Grave of the Fireflies" i thought it was going to be a happy go lucky manga film but it was so upsetting and i was crying my eyes out!


"Taking place toward the end of World War II in Japan, Grave of the Fireflies is the poignant tale of the relationship between two orphaned children, Seita (清太) and his younger sister Setsuko (節子). The children lose their mother in the firebombing of Kobe, and their father in service to the Imperial Japanese Navy, and as a result they are forced to try to survive amidst widespread famine and the callous indifference of their countrymen (some of whom are their own extended family members)."


sad stuff! i wouldn't watch it again because it was too sad.

Aww that sounds sad.

I can't think of a film at the moment, but the finale of Doctor Who Series 1 made me cry both times I've watched it. It seems as though I'm crying a lot more over the TV and films now that I'm getting older.

That wasn't the finale, but that was a pretty sad episode too. I think I partly cried at the finale because I knew Christopher Eccleston was leaving and I love him.

aww !! i agree with the crying more when you get older but the ones that got me were of course bambi and E.T i have always cried when i see them and think i always will!

I'm a big time movie crier. A highlight of this is "First Contact" - it's a Star Trek movie. My mom and I cried like babies at the end because it shows the first encounter when Vulcans come down to meet the Human race. For life long Trekkies, this is a big deal.

It was the film 'Running with Scissors' which I watched on Sunday night.. made me blub not because it was sad.. although it is because of the abuse and all but because at the end the real Augusten Burroughs sits next to the kid that plays him and goofs around.. It made me sad/happy because he came through everything and is now a bestselling author!

Hmm, I think I may have had a little tear in my eye for the Finale of Doctor Who Series 2, but not as much as Series 1.

Venus was quite said, but I didn't cry. I was more happy, which is hard to explain in a way, it was a nice film.
