Dutch queensday ends in drama

Every 30-04 we celebrate queensday in Holland in honor of queen Beatrix' birthday. Today the whole royal family was guided through the city of Apeldoorn in a bus. At 11.50 a guy in a car drove through 2 fences and crashed against a monument near the bus. Eye witnesses say it looked like he was aiming for the bus. He hit about 23 people and 2 already died. Most activities in the whole country have been cancelled.

What a bastard that guy. He still lives and is probably not badly injured because they tok him to the bureau for questioning.

I don't care about the royals either, to me it seems very wrong they have to much power just for being born into the right family. But still it's wrong to attack them like this.

So far 5 people died and last night also the suspect died. It's clear though that it was an attempted attack to the royals. He told the police so before they cut him out of the car.

well I don't think our royal family have that much power...I'm sure that there are things in our royal families house that they can't even touch and there are sort of unwritten rules for what they should or shouldn't do etc...they don't really have any power

but anyway it's still horrible espeically when civilians got hurt!

I saw some pictures of the attack in a paper I was reading in the staffroom at work today, and they were horrible. I think it's stupid that someone would launch an attack on someone else but kill other innocent, unconnected people in the process.

Yeah I just read in the paper (yesterdays paper, but I only just got round to reading it) that he died. in a way I think he got what he deserved because he killed innocent people, but I don't agree with the idea of death being a penalty for crimes, even though this isn't really the case here, because I think people should be made to stay alive so that they can feel guilt and regret for what they've done.
