My Idiot of a Friend (please help!!)

*nods* I agree with Michelle and Chelsea. I know that we can't convince you otherwise, but you will learn the difference between love and infatuation/liking someone in time. For now, my advice is to just do what you want. If you feel like your bf shouldn't be the main focus of your life, fine. Other people will always have something to say about your decisions no matter how old you are, though. You should do what makes YOU happy.

michelle and chelsea are right

and come on. they only treat unpopular people like dirt because the unpopular people care that they are unpopular....if that makes any sense.

im unpopular and i dont get treated like dirt because i honestly dont care what clone girls think of me.

Okay, I did not mean to hurt anyone's feelings or start a whole debate about this all. Although I do agree with Chelsea and Michelle...I have taken enough psychology and sociology courses to understand human development...and to be completely honest at the age of 12, love doesn't happen anywhere near the same way it does 10 years later. I am not saying you cannot be with him, what I am intending to say is that if you feel it is so difficult for you to keep a healthy relationship with your "boyfriend," then maybe it would be better for the two of you to stay friends until you both are ready to have a healthy relationship. Now, before you go saying that you have a healthy relationship, let me explain some characteristics to you.

1. Support, emotional support is important, he should beable to support you emotionally and you should beable to support him emotionally, regardless of your social status, or as you may call it "clique"

2. Companionship, now, a relationship is more than just love, it is an unconditional friendship among two people. You have to have the qualities of a friend and so does he.

3. Love- you should love one another unconditionally, this does not mean kissing infront of other people or any sense of public display of affection. This means actually caring, he should care about your emotional well being, your physical well being, and everyday lilfe.

There are a lot more characteristics, but those are some basic components for you. So before you go saying you have a healthy relationship, think a little deeper.

As for you caring about what other people think because "unpopular people are treated like dirt." I was unpopular as well...and infact, at your age, I just learned not to care. I was an odd girl...when I was in 7th grade I put wires in my hair, just to make it funky, I did pony tail buns...and you know what...even though I did all that stuff, I walked the halls proudly saying I don't care. I was a tough shelled person..and no matter what they said to me, I took it like a flake...brushed it right off. And soon, they got the idea...and all the girls started doing the same hairstyles as me, because I could be wacky and confident..and you know what, none of them had that...only me...I had something they wanted. The following year, I was elected to be a class representative and to speak for my class, which astounded me, because I was unsurprisingly in the middle of the social class unpopular, yet the popular girls were trying to be my friends. You know what though, even though they elected me, I choose my unpopular friends, because they were more loyal. So next time you go thinking about your popularity think about how much confidence those "popular" girls really have. Chances are, they are trying to break you down, because they don't feel good enough about themselves.

Alright, this is not me trying to be mean AT ALL moon owl... but.. and have you started your period yet?

C'mon, most of us are girls here, and almost all of us have it by now! Be mature Happy

If you havn't, you might be starting now and maybe thats why you are slightly overreacting. I don't think anyone here is trying to attack you... but... you really are overreacting and I understand its frustrating now... but in 5 years, if you look back and read this, you'll laugh at yourself.

But again, my original point, if you HAVE started your period already.... could that be why this is such a big deal?

I have no clue about your relationship, and I won't pretend to know how you feel about this guy, but if you DO love him, you shouldn't care that much that people are calling him a "geek".

C'mon.. just... relax, take a chill pill, enjoy life. Happy

HAVE FUN AND BE MERRY! yay! Happy

Then why is this such a big deal!

I didn't realize there was a second page to this until I came back just now, and now I've read what KT said, and I completely agree [OHH, what a rebel! lol]. Just... take it with a grain of salt. In a year, no one is going to care that you dated a "geek" or even remember. They have their own lives and they arn't going to care about YOURS forever and ever. Just.. ya know

CHILL! Happy
