too many plushies.
hey peeps
i like to sew plushies and now i have no place what so ever to put them! i would like to make and sell, but i am a bit clueless on what to do!
I'm not real smart on this subject myself. I have been making blankets and aprons and other things and hope to sell them at craft fairs so thought that might be an idea for you. I looked up (on my computer) the dates for the upcoming craft fairs in my area and hope to be ready for the next one. I think I'll need to get a business liscense to sell my stuff though but someone said they're cheap, if anything, to get. And, the last time I was on ebay, there was a notice that it was free to sell on ebay. Don't know if that was just for a window of time or a new change to their policies.
. . . Do you have an extra room in your home?? Or a huge storage room? Well then if you do why don't you transform it into a plushie house! Fill it with plushies and when kids go into the room blow some bubbles to make it look like a doll house !
I was thinking to sell at craft fairs only, cause I think online is too much work. and I don't have an extra room in my house. I could I have more info on selling licence?
You could always donate some to charities. There are a lot of toy drives in the winter.
If you sell at craft fairs, you shouldn't need a license. Look into craft sales at liberal arts colleges and other schools--you might be able to sell through something like that.
I have some plushie tutorials, they're all pretty easy. you can try.
I sell at street fairs near me, but I've never had to have a business license? I just have to pay for the booth space. Try calling the # for the event & ask what you need to sell there.
For online selling you could also check out Etsy.
As for storage, you could put them all in storage bins in a closet? Lol All my plushies just clutter all over my room.
etsy.com
or you could trade also (im sure a lot of people would be interested including myself lol)
you could always throw in a bonus plushie in any swaps that you do... maybe instead of candy or tea (if you aren't into those things)
folksy.com for uk sellers, easy to set up. not much needed except for shop banner
this is a little helpful and I think I might just sell in my local aria at craft fairs, if anyone has more ideas, just let me know thanks!
