Sewing Machine Malfunction...please help!

Okay, so here I am, a happy little monkey, sewing my little heart out, and I break a needle. Damn. So I get into my little bag that came with the machine, dig out another needle, throw it in there, and start sewing again.

Except: now it isn't actually sewing anything, it's just tearing up thread and spitting it out. Literally--just 1" to 3" pieces of thread are all that's coming out. Issue with the bobbin? Wrong needle? User error?

I have a Brother LS-2125i sewing machine, but I don't have the manual for it anymore. I'm annoyed, I was right in the middle of a wicked cute bag! Please help!

Thanks!

did a little googlin and I think I've found a site where you can download a digital copy of your manual. Hope this helps!

I'm not sure what could be wrong with it, unless your tension is so tight it's breaking the thread? I'd have to see it to figure it out, as I'm not a professional. ;) I kind of fly by the seat of my pants when it comes to the mechanical part of it all. Good luck!

Eek... good luck man! I've been fiddling with/cursing my tension knob for weeks now, just have to take it in to get fixed. Hopefully you can figure it out on your own.

That or you could try re-threading the thread and the bobbin, ensuring the needle is all the way in and make sure you try it out on a separate piece of fabric instead of your bag first Happy Hope you find the problem soon!!

Hi. Make sure your needle is correctly in place. Some needles face side ways and others with hole at the front. Those with a flat side are easier to work out. Good luck.

Did you get it worked out?

How frustrating , I know how you feel.I hope you get it worked out soon.I have a brother emb machine and a Kenmore, i love them both, but after 12 years the Kenmore has started acting up, so need to take it in for treatment, it has been such a wonderful machine.I know just a little TLC will take care of it.
Good luck.
