Needle felting help?

I recently saw adorable little bats which were "needle felted", and I would love to find out how to needle felt, as I have an idea to make a tiny model of my dog this way.
Does anyone know where I could find an easy to follow tutorial for needle felting, and tell me what tools or equipment i would need?

Thanks, I'm sure there's some crafty members of CO&K who can help Happy

I needle felt a little bit! It is fun and i wish i had more time for it Happy I have made some beads and a few animals. There is a book called, Fleece Dog, that was really helpful to me and has lots of different dogs to make. here is the website for the artist Sinco http://fleecedog.com/index.html basically you take wool roving and stab in thousands of time with a special barbed needle. Be careful! stabbing yourself with a felting needle hurts 10x more then when you stab yourself with a sewing needle! Have fun! now i want to go needle felt something too....

Im a fan of wet felting, but I did try needle felting a few times.I think you should start by making a flower or some beads.Anything thats easy and with less details.

By the way,did you see this site?

I really enjoy needle felting.I watched alot of videos on you tube and found lots of sites with great ideas. My favorite that I have made are my cashmere booties, I washed the wool and carded it and dyed it with kool aid and made them .I tried wet felting first, but I dont seem to be good at that , so I went to dry felting and got them done.
