If you have any wooden dowels laying around, you could make your own. Just cut them to length (if they the one yard length) sharpen an end with a pencil sharpener and sand. Pencils or pens would probably not be a good idea as you would get lead or ink on your work.
Chopsticks. Agree with creative mind about pencils.
aww thanks everyonnee : ]
chop sticks ehh?
alrii thanksss
but wood it be okay if i use skewers?
I thought about those (skewers) too. Those should really work, they are already sharpened but they probaby will need to be sanded a little so that they won't snag, also the sharpened edge may need to be dulled down. I remember those things are really sharp. You don't want to shish kabob your fingers. And so that your work won't slide off the other end, just add a rubber band or better yet glue on a bead, then you would have stylish needles.
I made a pair with chopsticks and posted them on here! They work really well.
get apaor of chopsticks /knitting needles from Candyrock ginger
