Loom Knitting
I've just started loom knitting, I've made a hat and a scarf so far, and I'm looking for new techniques and patterns online. I was just wondering if anyone on here uses looms? Do you guys have any patterns yourself, or know any links?
i use the looms too...i am still hunting some ideas too I been searching on youtube for some vids too.
I have made tons of things with my looms, some of them are posted here. I have been loom knitting for the past 2 years or so. I'm thinking of making another afghan/blanket and posting it here as a how-to, maybe using the basket weave pattern. Also thinking about converting one of my hat and scarf projects to a how-to using a garter stitch. Hey, better yet I just might make another poncho. Yeah.
Since my last post I've gone basically loom crazy. I've made three cellphone cozies, two dishcloths, 2 hats (one adult sized, one baby sized) and i'm planning on making 2 or 3 scarves and possibly a sweater. I found this GREAT site with tons of patterns, I'll get the link up ASAP.
I have seen a lot of great videos, the ones by Isela Phelps are really good. And there are some sites that are my fav's which I have to find again (thought I bookmarked them). I have knitted so many things, lately hats and scarves to put in my online shop.
One of my friends called me today and wanted to know if I was still knitting. Ooooof course!! She wants a baby blanket for her upcoming new niece in December. I made $100 bucks (not including the price of the yarn) one year from a friend who wanted blankets for his wife and his self for Christmas. I wish I had taken pics of them, but one was so heavy that it felt like a quilt. He wanted it knitted with 3 different colors 3 strands each and it was huge. The colors weren't mixed though, it was 3 different colored flat panels put together.
BTW, what type of looms do you all have?
These sites have really cool projects:

I have a purple loom from Walmart, it's not a Knifty Knitter brand though. It has 36 pegs. I also have the KK circle loom set (yellow, green, red and blue). I also have a spool knitter, also from Walmart and it looks like a bumble bee. What I want, though, is the set of 4 long KK loom set as well as the small pink double-ended spool knitter. I know where to get the long ones but I have yet to find the little one
Oh I also have two Perfect Pompom makers. They aren't looms but they are fabulous for those of us that can't make proper pompoms if our lives depended on it.
I have 2 sets of the KK round looms, a set of the KK long looms, 2 of the purple KK looms, which is the first one I ever bought, and a double-end spool KK. Oh yeah, and in infinity loom that is a figure-8 shaped loom with 347 pegs, which I have not yet used. I tried it once, it is kinda awkward to work with and besides at that time my patience was shot, so I only got a few rows done then I took it off.
One of my most fav sites is http://yarngear.com/looms
Would be cool to see some more of your work.
I have the yellow round loom and made a few hats and scarfs on it. Currently I'm knitting a blanket made from 6 pieces which I'll chrochet together. As soon as it's finished I'll post it. I'm quite alright with simple things made on the loom. If I want something more complicated I chrochet it.
I just got some pictures of my two loomed hats up!
I've also made another scarf, no fancy stitching though...but I'm making a scarf on the red loom (you could do it on the loom, I'm using 11 pegs, and it's just easier for me to hold onto) using the purl stitch at the beginning and end so it doesn't go all curly. I'll put up a tutorial for that when I'm done.

I love these looms, and they come in all gauges. I ordered a fine gauge loom and their pattern Dvd's....awesome investment.
I have the knifty knitters too, the long boards and the rounds.
I have made several of my own in the past, lots of how-tos on how to.
Youtube is great too.
Yes, I use the pom pom maker, an I want one of the fine gauge looms to make socks. I also find it faster to loom knit, than use the needles.
i like using the round looms because it is easy to pick up and put down, but my fingers get sore after a while, also I've noticed that the way i do it isn't the same way other people do it. i put the yarn infront/above the loop already on it and bring the one already there up and over, and just keep going round in a circle, but when i bought some bigger looms the instructions said to loop the new yarn around the peg,all the way around to the start, lift up and over all the bottom yarns, then go back the opposite way. i was confused, and they both look the same.
These fingerless/texting gloves are super easy and fun to wear. They're knit on the Knifty Knitter loom.
I didn't create the pattern, found it online.
