fused glass and silver clay

I am currently taking a fused glass class. I also have a little experience with silver clay. I was wondering, would it be possible to combine them?
From what I have read, its better to add the silver clay after you have a fused glass piece - since silver clay fires at a lower temperature than glass. However, would it be possible to add the silver clay at the same time as making a fused glass piece?
The firing temperature of the glass ranges from about 650 (for slumped pieces) to 800 for a full fuse. I have some Art Clay Silver 650 left over from another project.
Sadly, my tutor has no clue about this and told me to 'try it.' However, I to be sure its not going to cause any problems in the kiln and I want to make sure its worth the experiment before I use my silver clay.
Thank you in advance!

Is the clay Fimo, Sculpey, or another brand like that? Any kind of polymer clay bakes at less than half the temperature of your glass-- I would be really careful with it as to not burn it.

I suppose that it is possible (I am an artclay instructor and I once did a fusing workshop) as long as you keep in mind that the clay will shrink and the glass will deform and even "grow" (I don't know the proper word in English) a bit.....
as long as you give both materials room to change it should be possible....
let your glass heat up and cool down very slowly!
