Newb ball chain question

Sorry for a really bad noob question but I really need some help, I recently got ball chain like this

Thing is though how do I attach them together?

Slip one ball into each end and you're done. Sometimes, you'll have to open the ends of the clasps up a bit to fit the thin part of the ball chain through, but it can be closed with pliers.

Thanks so much for replying Happy just want to make sure of this. The chains 2.4mm but the connectors 8mm do you think i bought the wrong size?
