How do you organize your craft supplies?

I have been keeping all my craft supplies in a giant bin, and it's REALLY unorganized. How you keep your supplies together?

Small things like brads, eyelets, buttons etc, I keep in clear tupperware boxes. I have a big tool box for my sewing stuff. I get those boxes with loads of little compartments (from hardware stores, they're meant for screws and such) for beads and embroidery threads. I keep the whole mess of that in big plastic crates. One for jewellery making, one for sewing etc.
Other stuff I keep in plastic mushroom crates that stack under my desk.
Sewing patterns are put into punched pockets and kept in lever arch files. I have a whole heap of filing systems to keep things in order=)

my little bits n bobs are in a little 3 tiered plastic shelf thing i got from £1 shop, all my material etc is just on the shelf of my sewing table...i have a chest with all my card making/paper things in...doesn't look like i'm very organied either!! :/

when I try to organize, I lose every thing..sigh..

I'm very disorganised atm also. I have my beads and buttons in a small tuppaware box. The rest of my materials and fabric paints and such in a carrier bag atm. BUT my mum and nan are going halvesies on a lovely sewing basket that I want, amazingly the cheapest one that the size I want was from John Lewis!! And it's the only one I liked, all the others I'd seen elsewhere in the size I wanted looked fugly!!
