Bedroom creation - hopefully :S

I am considering re-decorating my own bedroom. Thing is I have no idea where I to start. I think I will stick with painting the walls and go from there i.e. paint my own patterns and such. I also want to make as much of it as possible to save money and because i really enjoy crafty stuff. The only problem is I have very few ideas. I was thinking of sewing my own curtains/painting a roll down blind and making my own bed throw - Can you think of anything else I could do for my room.

Any other ideas/Help would be amazing - thank you in advance.

I guess, depending on what it's made of, you could always paint your furniture to match what you do with the walls/curtains/etc...

Yeah, I was gonna say paint your furniture as well. Then you can paint designs or whatever on it to match the theme of your room. [url]www.threadbanger.com[/url] did some videos a while back called "Decor It Yourself", and they were full of good crafty ideas for decorating (I dunno how easy it is to find past episodes on the website, but if you search for "Threadbanger Decor It Yourself" on youtube it'll come up with the exact same videos Happy )

I don't know whether your still working on this or not, but me and my mother did make a huge amount of pillows for my bedroom a couple of years ago, they’re all the same color (blue) but they’re all so different, we’d even make a roll cushion and some sort of fat boy. Since you don't have a lot of money, I guess you could buy cheap (used) furniture and customize it. You could hang some bookshelves on your wall or some sort of pegs to hang your clothes on, or even a rail. If your room is rather small, you can hang some mirrors on your wall to ‘create more space’. I myself bought four little square mirrors and hung them up with like 10 cm between them to create something like a window with a cross frame, as soon as I figure out how to get the pictures from my cell phone to my computer I could send it to you if you want.
