Notifications

Is there a way to set a notification so I know when someone replies to a topic I start?

There used to be, but I think it caused a lot of notification clutter so it was removed when the site changed designs a while ago. The only way to check now is to stay active on the boards, or have them bookmarked to check them occasionally.
