handmade costume/present ideas?

The only idea I have so far is maybey a bracelet or necklace

does the perty have a theme, or is it just fancy dress?

this sounds like a fun idea, i would come up with something crazy to go as...why not go as your friend lol that would be fun! And for a present, you cant go wrong with home made jewelry

If I was going to that party I'd want to go as the complete opposite of me. I'd take something that I stand for (like my left wing marxist views) and I'd go as the complete opposite (in this case a fascist dictator like a conservative MP or George Bush.)

It says on your profile that you're a vegetarian. Maybe go as a butcher? Get some fake dog toys of steaks and sausages and things, string the sausages around your neck, draw on a moustache and buy a white apron and splash some red paint onto it, put the steak in your pocket and if you can find a plastic butcher knife take that one too?

Of course you could make all the sausages and things out of felt, and aprons are easy to make!

okay seriously, ummmm......hey! what about a desperate housewife!? You could make an apron, wear some heels, make-up, makybe take a feather duster as a prop or a wine glass. You could expand on that idea... I think you'd look really cool like that!

thought I'd just mention that, I"m going to the party too! I'm going as Alice in Wonderland- I'm going to hire my costume though but I wanted to make some props or accesories. I was thinking about making some biscuits out of white sculpey (same as fimo) and painting them and writing 'eat me' on them. Any other ideas?

definatly a tea cup with drink me on it as well and maybe put holes in the cookies so you could attach them all together and to the cup so you don't have to carry it all in an awkward way...have fun guys!

you can make a string of sausages out of a stocking or tiights, just stuff it and then twist into sausage shapes, and then sew the twists.
shivi, Im making an alice in wonderland dress at the mo for my textiles and its really easy once you make the pattern. you could have a toy cat to be Dinah, a little bottle with drink me label, or some white gloves and a fan, a flamingo or the duchesss baby (that turns into a pig).
getting carried away, but I love that book so much!
It'd be more fun to make biscuits and ice them with the words, and then give them to people at the party.

she likes vampires and likes cool/eclectic/quirky jewelery like the starburst bracelet.
