Ever get the urge...
...to just make a whole lot of one thing?
I recently got back from a trip to Punta Cana... and of course I bought some souvenirs. I bought two stone turtles with marble shells, and one wooden turtle.
Now, I've only worked with clay a few times before (when I was a young teenager) and my results were horrible. But after taking a ceramics class in college, I kinda wanna go back to making FIMO/Sculpey clay stuff, but all I really want to make is turtles... haha.
I haven't wanted to make so much of one thing since I made 10 button rings a night for a week when I was in my first year of college.
Have you ever gotten the urge to just make a lot of one thing all at once? What was it?
Sometime I get the urge to make lots of earrings. Or wire wrapped rings. Like if I come across a really cool style/pattern or buy some really cool beads. Then I make a bunch, and wonder what I am ever going to do with them! lol
that's crafting fever
Once you fall in love with a project it's hard to ignore until you can get your hands on it. My latest is making a maxi dress... I spent money I don't really have on fabric because I just have to make it haha. GL with clay, just remember to score before you attach XD
Yeh, of course. I still have all of my ceramics tools that I can clean off to use for other clay.
I want to make everything possible right now! I am way too excited because school is almost out so I will finally have two months to do nothing but craft before I have to get ready for school again.
Well I have the urge to make dresses but..I'm so awful at making them..xD
ha, strange, about a week ago all i wanted to make was clay turtles, no joke. OOH and collages. Lots of collages. And sometimes I go on a recipe kick. Right now it is grilled cheeses made with fancy ingredients Ha ha, clay turtles.
Sometimes I get the urge to sew a ton of dresses. Especially on Saturdays when I have nothing better to do.
I always want to make lots of things, but I stop because I think (and know) that no one will want them and I can't have loads of things sitting at home. I made a bunch of bracelets to sell (but no one wants them!) and I can't really wear 50 bracelets, I barely wear one.
It's funny you mention turtles...there is this guy that uses Kansas clay and minerals to make the most beautiful clay turtles. He is "famous" for them, I was at an old lady's house and she had one from over 30 ago...his technique has become more refined, but they look similar enough that I recognized it.
Just last week I made 20+ collar chains and statement rings :\
I can't say I'm over them yet considering im still busting out a few night in between work and homework
