One Yard of Fabric Skirts
So does anyone have any ideas for skirts with just one yard of fabric. I don't know I was thinking when I only bought one yard of each but it is not enough to make an elastic skirt without adding more fabric. So if anyone has any ideas. I'd love to make a simple A-line skirt but the problem is I'd feel like it's bee to simple and kinda boring.
The fabric I have is rather busy so applique designs on it might be too much... It's the very small paisley designs with small flowers and such. And the other is an almost vine-y/ Celtic design, they go okay (meh) together but I'd only want to combine them if I must. Right now it's looking like I must.
I don't know if anyone has any ideas or links that would be super. If you don't have skirt ideas I used to make a lot of bags so and applique designs, or cute-o purse designs would be nice too. They are both light weight cotton so skirts would be best but I'm open to any ideas at this point because they just keep looking at me sadly without anything to do.
Thank so much!
Hmmmmm. Do you have any plain fabric in your stash that would coordinate with your patterned ones? You could use it to add a waistband/an extra bit on the bottom if you needed to.
Also, I don't think they're quite what you're looking for, but I found these projects after a quick google - inspiration?

Those are actually perfect, probably won't do the same thing but it gives me some ideas. Thanks so much. Not a big fan of mixing black and white but the second one is really cute. ^^
Make a skirt with ruching on one side. They're really quick and easy to make and work really well with prints.
You could probably also make a circle skirt.
