Do you have a Cricut?

I am thinking of getting a Cricut machine. I have a few questions.
How much did yours cost?
What do you make/do most with it?
Would you recomend it?
How often do you use it?

I am a bit hesitant to get it because I don't scrapbook. I would want to get it for cards, and making little boxes for treat bags and things.

What do you think?

I do not have a cricut because I think they are "cheating" and the scrapbooks I have seen with them aren't my style. If you have access to a die-cut machine I would save your money and just use that. It really depends on how often you would use it I think.

I have one, but I don't use it much atm. Felecity W., what exactly do you mean by cheating? If one does a LOT of precise and intricate cutting, it's just easier, less stress on the hands and faster. Any other die cut machine can cost just as much, especially with having to purchase the extras to do different cuts. I use the Sure-Cuts-A-Lot software with my cricut so I don't have to buy any cartridges because you can connect it to your computer and cut whatever you have on your screen, including using whatever fonts you have. You're not limited to what's on a cartridge so I would recommend it depending on how often you will be using it, and it's not just for scrap booking or making cards. I have cut out letters using simple print contact paper (bought pretty cheap at Wal-Mart) to put my kid's names on their bedroom door or on their wall. I've had mine for awhile, so I paid over 200 for it and it came with a cartridge, plus I bought the deep cut blade to cut my own chipboard, which is just making multiple cuts of a shape out of recycled cereal boxes (that's what I use) and gluing the layers together, I've cut shapes out of shrinky plastic and stencils for t-shirts and bags and such to name a few things. If you're the real creative type like I am, then you will find tons of other uses for it and not just what you've seen on the infomercials. It's a cool and fun device to have!!

Sorry if I offended you creativemind. I am glad you are able to get so much use out of your machine. Unfortunately none of those crafts appeal to me, and I wouldn't use a cricut. That doesn't mean T!N@ wouldn't, thanks for sharing some of the uses.
