i've been waiting over a month for my invite. it almost HAS to be any day now! There was only 7000 on this wait list when I signed up! I have no idea why it has taken so long, at 1000 invites a day I should have been approved in a week! but I'm trying to be patient

I joined ravelry when it first opened..I don't I've done anything with it really! I don't crochet or knit all that much and now that the weather is getting warmer...however..I do have some cute crochet flower and bead pins that I'm in the process of making....

I just had a look because I've become obsessed with looking at other crafty things and what the hell you have to sign up and WAIT when you don't even know if you're gonna like it, it's a bit like looking down upon anyone who is not a member!

It's worth the wait! They waitlist people because it started out with two people running the site and the traffic was crashing their server. Now it's managed much better and just the pattern library is worth it. The thing I like most about Ravelry is if I see a pattern I like, I can research different yarns and see if something in my stash will match the gauge without having to get up and go to my stash closet or leave the website. Huzzah laziness!

yeh I like the pattern library! It's good because you can sort of sneak peak pattern books to see if they're worth it. I read an article about the creators in a Knitting magazine so now I feel bad about moaning about the waiting list hehe!

Alicia, email them about your invite, sometimes the invite emails get lost. Mine did, and when I emailed as to why my wait was so long, they sent a second invite email.
