Will tacky glue work for bottlecap decorating?

I have been saving bottle caps for a while, to use in projects, but I don't have the glue that most of y'all use. I am a low-budget, use what I've already got crafter, and all I have is Tacky Glue, low-temp hot glue sticks&gun, and clear Elmer's school glue. I have decoupaged with a mixture of white school glue and tacky glue, before, but only on wood. I'm wondering if I can use what I have to glue cute pictures and odds and ends into my bottle caps.
Has anyone else ever used anything else?

What I'm really wanting to make is a Guinness bottle cap with a four-leaf clover(which I found this morning!) in it, and maybe make it into a pin. I'm currently pressing the clover in a heavy book(on page 777, LOL)

I always use Envirotex Lite or Crystal Sheen ( two part epoxy) for that, but you can also use Judikins diamond glaze....or just use a small amount of 2 part epoxy glue like araldite, you can buy cheap version of 2 part epoxy glue here in £1 shops, I think that's the equivalent of your Dollar stores.

Thanks, yeah, I've seen 2 part epoxy in a dollar store! I'll see if I can get my honey to get me some...

Try it out on another sample, before finally doing your 4 leaf clover, just so you make sure you get it right....then don't forget to post it on the site!
