string rings..

does any one no how to make those rings people make in prison i think is out of elastic and string they usually have peoples names on them.. i have so much string id be the perfect way to shorten my stash

I'm not sure about the ones you are talking about, but my friend makes string rings the a simlar way that you make friendship braclets, get 3 strands of string and plait them together...
