Help making a pattern?

So I want to make a stuffed hamster plushie because I have a hamster and they are just so cute and the problem is that it's almost impossible to find a pattern for a plush hamster. I was browsing on the internet and came across a picture of a large plush hamster and I think it's super cute but the problem is there's only a pic and no pattern or anything... and it's a small picture BUT I'm asking some experienced people on here if they have any idea how this hamster plush was sewn.

So if anyone could offer any help as to what the sewing pattern would be I would be very grateful!

Here's the link to the picture:

Thanks!

I found a picture of him side on- he's a fat little beggar isn't he lol.
It looks like there's two brown body pieces, one brown base, the pale front piece and then tail, ears, feet and "hands".
Here's the url for the side shot

You'll probably have to design your own pattern, I suggest experimenting with scraps before you use the material you want.

I drew up what I thought it might look like, you'll probably have to play with it: http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/6374/hamsterwd.jpg

I think the body is basically like a ball, except instead of all of it being round, half is chopped off and he has a circular bottom. Some tutorials on ball making: http://www.craftideas.info/html/ball_tutorial.html

The white mane is a bit tricky, since it's such an awkward shape, I'm guessing it has a big seam allowance with notches in it (I've never done something like that so I'm not sure). It might just be easier to do a round belly. If you did that all you have to do is make an oval with a flat bottom.

If you have any questions or need me to clarify on something, just ask c:

Thanks Jess that's great! I figured it was something like that but as a novice I wasn't sure. I shall try it out and see what happens.

No problem c: haha, just experiment with it, you'll figure it out.

Hi. I've been having a look around and came up with this

http://www.allcrafts.net/sewing/stuffedanimalssewing.htm

It has a mouse pattern on it which is a good place to start. You would have to extend the front up for the face bit and need to make the front wider too, but the overall shape is quite good.

Hope it helps Happy
