Basic Patterns - Where to find?

Hi everyone,
First I'd like to say... ZOMG you're all wonderful, and I can't stop staring at this site. I am so full of ideas, I don't know where to begin!

Ahem.

I am in need of basic patterns. I've tried looking on Ebay and Etsy, and though I did order one simple halter top pattern, I'm not having much luck otherwise. I've been to some fabric stores and poured over their books, and it seems like most things are... not my style at all, or very complicated. I'm looking for simple things, like a miniskirt or a tank dress or an A-line dress, maybe. {I've also tried searching online, and so far, that hasn't gotten me anywhere, either.)

I'm hoping that someone here might be able to point me in the right direction. =]

Go here:

These patterns are easy, fast, and CHEAP! Sew a couple of these and you'll learn how to read and use harder patterns. Good Luck!

PS. don't judge a pattern by it's envelope. Imagine what it would look like wit your fabric, or shortened or with embellishments on them. You don't HAVE to use pretty pink flowers like the picture shows!

Yay! Thanks for the quick responses. I'm using these for latex designs, so the simpler, the better. Some of these look like they'll work great! Happy

if you´re also interested in creating your own patterns, maybe try Metric Pattern Cutting for Women´s Wear by Winifred Aldrich, i don´t own that book but i have a german patternmaking book refering to this one and it´s amazing!! in the beginning it might be a bit difficult, but i think your own patterns will fit much better than these burda ones.... (sorry, i don´t like burda, it doesn´t mean their patterns are bad at all for starting)
