Birthday cake idea for someone who doesn't cake?
My brother's birthday is in a couple of days and our mom and granny really want to make him a birthday cake. Trouble is is that he doesn't like cake, but he does like Snickers (he's not much of a sweets kinda guy).
Any idea on somethin' we could pull together??
Thanks y'all for your help,
Erica.
omg snicker cake tastes just like snickers google it
HE DOESN'T LIKE CAKE?!? I was just about to say Snickers Cake but then I looked up the recipe and it involved some kind of cake mix, lol. What about a Snickers Pie? It involves less sweets and its pretty easy to make.
Here's the link.

He just doesn't like any kinda cake.

Crazy, I know!!!
That sounds good!!
I bought cake mix (because if we're gonna have a birthday party, we're gonna have cake, even if the birthday boy doesn't want any! lol) and I was going to put mini snickers on it, but that pie sounds good D
Might make that AND the cupcakes.
Thank youuuuuu!
YOUR WELCOME!!
There is a recipe on here somewhere for a GIANT snicker. Just like the real thing, only freaking huge. You should totally do that. Then do cupcakes for all the normal people who eat cake. ;)

Okay, stay with me here. Have you ever seen a diaper cake? Do a search if you haven't. Basically, you take disposable diapers and roll each diaper into a tube. Stand the tubes on end to make a base and secure with a large rubber band. Make a smaller "layer" to go on top of the bottom "layer". Then a third if you like. Picture cake layers. Cover the rubberband with ribbon, add flowers or toys or crafty thingys. You could do this with Snickers. You could stand them on end, put them around a hollow tube (paper towel or toilet paper tube) Use as many as you can afford. Put them two or three deep for the bottom layer, then one or two for the top layer. Put a bow on top and ribbon to cover the rubber bands that hold the Snickers on end. Add small things that he really loves or something whimsical. It could totally work! My estimate would be you would need about 40 Snickers, though to make it look great. Maybe a run to Sam's Club or Wal-Mart for cheap candy? Good luck!
Look up paper cake. You use card stock and fold the individual slices and make a layered cake. You can fill the "slices" with mini snickers and what not. (=

Here is a tutorial. (=
Hope that helps.
What about a flourless chocolate cake? It's more of a gooey pudding than a cake, if he likes chocolate and nuts it would be more a giant gooey melty thing than a cake- but in a cake shape. There's a reciple in 'the delectable Miss Dahl' cookbook by Sophie Dahl, otherwise I'm sure a google search would get a recipe.
Why not make a tiffin based cake: no baking, just chill. My husband makes me a cupcake version with peanut butter or toffeefied condensed milk in the middle. x
What about an ice cream cake? It looks like a cake but has no cake mix in it... Just layers of icecream! I reckon you would just buy large, flat tubs, and cut it to shape. Sounds messy but fun Or does your strange friend not like icecream either?
I was thinking about ice cream cake as well. It's my favorite because I don't really like traditional baked cake. (I think it's the icing that I don't like...) For my birthday my parents usually buy an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen. They come in all sizes (even log shapes) and you can get anything written on them and you get to pick the picture to put on it.
Snickers pie sounds good too!
I was also thinking about cheese cake! Does he like cheese cake? You could do a snickers version of it:

Doing a google search for snickers cheese cake gives you a ton of other options if you don't like that recipe.
Newbie here.......HI! I would get him a small ice cream cake, maybe chop up some Snickers on top...then do either a small cake or cupcakes for the rest of the guests. I have customers who don't all like cake either....so I offer a lot of different things. HTH. ;)
God, I want an icecream snickers cake now!
