Should I cut my hair?

I've got quite long hair at the moment, like this (I think you can just about see how long it is here)


But I've always had long hair and I'm wondering whether to cut it! It used to be a lot longer than this but I like the idea of a nice drastic change. I have an oval shaped face so technically anything should look fine with it, but I'm worried if my hair is too short I'll look fat.

What do you guys think?

if you're not sure about getting it all lopped off go for longer versions of the pics. I've had two dreams about having long hair but I can't cope with it long!

if i don't look fat with short hair (and i like to think i don't) then there's no chance you will. cutting hair is SO fun. cut it to like chin length and then swish it around- mad fun!

Yes I agree cut it, if you don't like it, it will start growing pretty quickly anyway, so it's not the end of the world.
I'm at the stage now, where my hair is almost half way down my back and I am getting bored with it. Don't know what to do! I do like it long, but I like it short too. I need wigs haha

My best friend was a little pudgy and she had really long hair, but she wanted to cut it and was afraid she would look fat if it was to short, and she got it even shorter than those pictures, and it looks GREAT!!! She doesn't even look pudgy any more [though she hasn't lost any weight!] So if thats the only thing holding you back, don't let it! ;D

Well I basically decided on Sunday that I just HAD to do it (sorry this is a bit delayed, my puter has been dead) so I'm booked in to get it done on Friday =) I'm really quite excited.

Basically what I want is for it to be base-of-the-neck length on one side and chin length on the other side so it slopes up at the back, and with lots of layers (some quite short ones for spiking up!). I'm also gonna keep two long bits of hair, one on each side which I'll just keep plaited. Or curled (I've been thinking that cutting my hair short will make it easier to use rollers, so if I make my hair all vintage I can just use curling tongs on the long bits).

I will post pictures when it's done!

Ooh get you! Long hair is awesome, and I do love my hair when it's long and luscious, but I've never had long hair and even if it looks silly, I can grow it again and look back on it in years to come and laugh cause I was so stupid haha.

I want to get it done noow. Tomorrow's gonna be awesome though, I'm dying my hair tonight so it'll be fresh black, then I'm getting it cut and blowdryed and straightened so it'll look lovely, then I'm going for one of those free Debenhams makeovers. Just a shame my boyfriend won't see!

Cool your gonna cut it Happy After my debs/prom I got my hair cut short like real short like above my ears! I hated it and grew it out, but it looked better growing out so I was fine with it, my boyf though, he hated it short haha

I'd look like a boy with reeeally short hair and I've had a few times when I've gone to the hairdressers and said shoulder length or a long bob and she'd cut it like my mums! My mum's hair is nice but I didn't want the same cut (bout a cm under my ear lobes)! I've had it cut very short before like a bob but styled so it looks shorter and I got picked on for it so much and it never used to stay straight! Got called Edward rather then Emma for a while in primary school, I can laugh now :/

I'll only go to proper hairdressers now not the local one even if it's a lot of money they seem to know what you mean and LISTEN.

I'm REALLY hoping it looks good. If they do it exactly as I want, I know I'll love it, but there's always that risk. I've drawn a picture and I'll try to explain it best I can though.

Haha thankyou Queenie but I'm not =P Yeah that was at Download and everywhere I went people commented on my bag haha. This Welsh guy kind of attacked me and tried to rape my bag, that was funny!
