I wouldn't recommend it. I've had many perms in my life and the kinky perms like that one are really hard on your hair. They end up becoming very frizzy an it doesn't look pretty after a while.

Perms are really bad for your hair, the heat and the chemicals used can cause damage that is usually only solved with a trim. Why not try using mouse or gel then braiding your hair at night? Then you will have the option of wearing it straight as well...

As for your question I have seen perms that look like braids but I don't know the specific name...

i have had perms before but its been so long ago, my mom use to do them herself when my sister and i were younger. really didnt know that they were bad for your hair though. :/

Perms do damage your hair, just keep your hair well-conditioned and don't leave the perm solution in too long.

If you're brave enough to do it at home, put the perm solution in, braid your hair, then leave for about half an hour.

I wouldn't do it. My friend did it and it looked good for a few hours but then it just went all crazy and frizzy and plain awful.

I used to have perms done to me for 3 years span when i was in elementary school. (things ur crazy moms do) I hated the process (the smell kills me), but it never did any damage to my hair. :/ My hairs pretty resiliant tho. lol
I believe their is a looser curl perm that exist, but i dont know what its called. Its the same process i believe tho.

I think the curl will lost as time goes on. If you want to keep it permanently, you should go to the barbershop frequently I think. And that may be harmful to your hair.
