I used to have super long hair til April when I got really sick of it hacked it into the strange bob thing I've got now.

I have a kinda wide face also, and I have a lot of trouble with getting a hairstyle that flatters my face. Also, I have prominent cheekbones and a well-defined jaw (so no baby fat or anything). If your hair is straight, try getting 2 or 3 layers that are closer to your chin than eyes (therefore longer layers) if you want your hair at the middle of the neck. Also, if you get that cut, you do not have to worry about the ends of your hair curling in towards your face, therefore emphasizing the roundness and wideness of the face, as long as you keep the top section of your hair fairly volumized. Not too much volume, just not flat, so it the emphasis is drawn to the top of your head. If you don't plan on getting layers, make sure the ends of your hair are always straightened. DO NOT try to flip your hair out the opposite way (do try out towards your shoulders, rather than straight or towards your chin), b/c it will just make the face look more round.

I have had dyed black hair since I was 17. I am 29 now and just a month ago, cut it all off! I had stopped colouring it back in Sept last year and let it grow long enough for a short pixie cut. then snip!!

Can someone give me some ideas? I think I want to cut my hair for the summer (I actually want to grow my hair long again but I might do that after,) and I need some nice ideas. I want something kind of alternative. At the moment I have shoulder-length layered hair with a side fringe. Was thinking about a straight fringe, rockabilly style, but not sure it would suit me. I like it when there's the straight fringe which curves down into the bits at the sides but no idea really.
