Painting ideas for a teenage girls bedroom?
I'm planning on painting something for my 13 year old cousins bedroom. I'm not that great a painter but I'm a better sketcher. PLEASE HELP!
start off by finding out what she likes. pick something that she will still like as she gets older. try to stay with general themes. lightly draw with pencil and paint in with acrylic.
you could paint giant flowers on her wall, just a few, like tulips or so and maybe a more neutral color, I mean, a colour that is not bright pink, she might not like that anymore in 5 years
I went looking for some examples, so here they are

or what about peacocks?
I really liked this:

or a bit more simple:

I'd say you keep it simple with the colours and make one accent by painting flowers or so, then she could also more easily change it if she wants to
oh and, I'm 20 now, and I really like the things that I just posted here, so maybe that can help I hope so!
good luck with it anyway ;)
At 13 its a hard age to paint your room, since the age of around 9 i have painted my room every year for i could never decide on a color or a them at 15 im still deciding on how i want my room to look, i draw art on the walls and put up posters i just change my room all the time. if shes girly, don't do bright pink or purple she might outgrow that phase quickly, pick maybe a floral design or something kath kidson'ey like stripes, something she can keep for a few years without it being outdated or too 'young' for her, also another idea would be to paint like 3 of the walls a pastel color and have the fourth wall with some sort of mural eg flowers or butterfly's something cheerful with the same colour theme. if she is more of calm person maybe a deep orange or terracotta, that tends to be an 'older girls' color if she wanted to feel grown up. Light pastel blues and purpley grays or lilac are always nice for a softer feminine feel, but one thing is certain, it needs to match with her furniture or room theme, you cant have purple bedding and curtains then have green walls, it would be a total color clash, i hope this helps coming from someone who wasn't 13 long ago
