Tom and I were invited onboard the Red Bus Bistro for an afternoon tea tour around Edinburgh.

On a rainy day such as this, there's no better way to see the sights of the city than from the comfort of your seat while being poured a glass of prosecco.

Set in an old London bus which has been refurbished for comfort, we loved how the bus was able to retain so many of it's original quirky features while feeling fresh and modern at the same time.

Once we were onboard, we were presented with a delicious afternoon tea with sandwiches, quiches hot from the oven, cupcakes, an indulgent selection of petit fours and freshly baked scones.

We then set off on our tour, following the handy map and guide at our table to see where we were and read fill up on facts about each of the places we passed.

The tour lasts an hour and a half, giving you plenty of time to enjoy your food while the bus winds and twists comprehensivly around the city streets making sure you pass all the sights.

Keep an eye out for the Castle as you drive along Princess Street, the mossy Unicorn statues in the Meadows, Greyfriars Bobby, the Elephant House where JK Rowling wrote Harry Potter and the Parliament down in Holyrood.
