Bake a batch of doughnuts in #AroundTheWorldIn80Dishes with Rachel on the Isle Of Wight.
With beautiful beaches, open countryside and forests to explore, what's not to love about the Isle of Wight?! I live 5 minutes away from the beach and love going down there to collect shells and sea glass. We enjoy family picnics in the forest where we might catch a glimpse of a red squirrel (the Isle of Wight is one of only a handful of places left in Britain where you can find them!). There's plenty of delicious local food including tomatoes, garlic and the unusual jams and chutneys produced by House of Chilli, not to mention my latest favourite find: a food truck that produces Chinese-style dumplings with all sorts of delicious fillings (chocolate and peanut butter in a dumpling - what's not to like!). There's a lot of history on the Island, and the recipe I've picked is a traditional local sweet treat.
Travel Wishlist:
Having recently started making ice cream at home I'd love to go to Italy to find out to make proper Italian gelato.
