Nashville and East Nashville have all the amenities of a big city (food trucks, skyscrapers, mild winters and long falls and springs, urbane lifestyle with coffee shops and a whole lot of bbq if you dig that sorta thing- but also some of the best vegetarian fare in the nation) with a small hometown personality. Plus Predators NHL! Hey we even have a football team I hear?
This week Kt Bing recreates the 90's hippie look of actress Drew Barrymore:
From Punky Funk to Sleek and Chic, Drew Barrymore constantly morphs from one style to the next with the greatest of ease. Here I have chosen her Daisy Grunge Girl style from the early 90's. Pretty flowers and red hot lips make the style easy to copy and doesn't everyone have a bit of old denim in their wardrobe that deserves a re-vamp? Grunge is officially back!

I could never give up my dad's old boyscout shirt. It goes with everything!

Iris Apfel, Bri Emery from DesignLoveFest, and so many style bloggers. The Internet is a wonderful place.
Do you have any favourite designers?
Miu Miu, Orla Kiely, Kate Spade New York
Where are your favourite places to shop for new clothes clothes?
Secondhand shops, Anthropologie, antique stores
Do you make or customise your outfits?
Oh yes! My mom is a seamstress so she (tried) to teach me many of her skills. She is a very detail-oriented person and I am not, so some sewing skills stuck better than others. I love to alter clothes as opposed to making them from scratch. I love adding over-the-top embellishments or funky alterations.
Do you have any great tips for mixing up and personalising an outfit?
I love accessories way too much. I've learned that when you get ready in the morning and you're ready to walk out the door, take one accessory off. You probably don't need to wear a head scarf and a neck scarf at the same time. ;)

This week we head all the way to Singapore, to tour paper crafter Yenni's organized and beautiful craft room.
"I love to make cards most of the time but if I had spare time and space I would love to make lots of other projects. I love the feeling of turning an ugly useless item into pretty things. I feel like I am the fairy god mother to abandoned stuff."
Is this also your work space?

This week Kinhime Dragon recreated the look of crime-fighting manga schoolgirl, Sailor Moon:
In the name of the moon, she's cool! Sailor Moon is the original Magical girl. And best part is that she doesn't dress like a super hero all the time. She's just like you and me, with a fashion sense that's out of the world and can reach the moon cause it's so cool. Why not show the magical girl in all of us?

DIY Collar from a Blouse
Recreate the look with Marisa's Retooling A Collar Off An Old Blouse tutorial:
How would you describe your style?
If I have to sum it up, I would say my style is a concoction of vintage and playful and definitely very feminine. I love wearing color - lots of it and am a sucker for whimsy little accessories and headwear. In fact, I never leave the house with some kind of accessory on my head whether it be a vintage scarf, a floral crown, bow, or hat. I mostly wear dresses and am most smitten by ones from the 1960s.
What's your favourite piece in your wardrobe?
I have this little vintage buttercup yellow babydoll dress that I picked up at a local antique mall - it has the sweetest peter pan collar and lavender embroidered birds on the two front pockets. I'm pretty sure I'll hold onto it forever. Other than that - these vintage oxblood colored booties and a tan retro starburst sweater are each pieces from my grandmothers that I will always cherish the most.
Who are your style icons?
My oma (grandmother) is my style icon. She was elegant and graceful (think Ava Gardner) and had her own unique style. She loved colorful, bold prints and leopard and was always adorned in some of the prettiest jewelry I've ever seen. As she made the majority of her own clothing, her closet was full of unique creations that could make you swoon for days.
Do you have any favourite designers?
I really don't. Designer brands are certainly not in my budget so I don't pay too much attention to them. However I will admit that I can be caught swooning over Lauren Moffatt and Orla Kiely dresses every once in a while.
Where are your favourite places to shop for new clothes clothes?
The antique mall and thrift store are my go-to places to shop, especially when it comes to vintage, but every now and again I'll treat myself by snagging up a pretty dress from Modcloth, Asos, or Anthropologie.
Do you make or customise your outfits?
I only wish I had more advanced sewing skills! Customizing my outfits usually means taking up a hem and turning a dowdy grandma maxi dress into a cute little mini shift or babydoll dress.
Do you have any great tips for mixing up and personalising an outfit?
Don't shy away from color. In fact, mix together different colors that you normally think would not go together. I always create some of my favorite outfits my doing this. Of course I'm always one for adding a vintage brooch and hat or hair accessory just to top everything off and really make my style my own.
