The humble scone. It delights any tea time, and is so versatile: fruit, cheese, with jam or just butter.

I love the Great British Bake Off! I watched it eagerly last year, it was great. My favourite British dish is probably scones with clotted cream - the best thing ever and such a luxury - with fresh berries and a big cup of tea. I guess I just love cream tea!

I know it has been said by someone else...
But tea is just amazing, it's a meal in itself! My favourite tea is definitely Earl Grey.
I'm a tea-aholic and have a cupboard dedicated to my teas of various varieties. One (or more) types to suit any mood Happy
And what better to go with your English Breakfast tea than a bacon butty, with HP's brown sauce of course Happy

My favourite British things are Toad in the Hole (yorkshire pudding with veggie sausages), Fish and Chips (when you eat them at the seaside and try not to let seagulls snatch your fish!) and Manchester tart.

Steak & kidney pudding. Usually with mash, but sometimes with chip-shop chips that are covered in mountains of gravy. And peas, not mushy ones though!

My favourite British Dish is Welsh Cakes seeing as I am from Wales Happy There is nothing better than a Welsh cake, made with salty Welsh butter and bursting with plump rasins, warm from the griddle lightly dusted in caster sugar and a good cup of tea Happy Mmmmmmm Happy

traditional british bread pudding is definitely my favourite british bake. Uses up old leftovers & with lovely plump raisins too! i love that chewy texture.

Savoury side - Bubble & Squeak is a fab veggie dish which my grandfather likes & i have a developed a taste for too. We had it on boxing day with out left over veg.

Afternoon Tea, particularly cucumber sandwiches (I could easily live off them!). Scones, an array of preserves and creams, with a lovely cup of Earl Grey, 2 sugars, slice of lemon. Absolutely heavenly! ^^

Good ol' Shepherd's Pie - home-cooked with a modern twist to enhance the flavour! Spring onions and cheese in the potato layer and the mince base has Woodsmoked BBQ sauce and tantalising flavours that make the whole serving disappear of any person's plate!

Mine would have to be a good hearty stew and dumplings. Eating it just makes you feel so warm and cozy, it actually tastes like home.

The best British dish is definitely Bakewell Tarts. They remind me of when I was younger, my nana made perfect small cherry bakewells which she kept in a tin in her cupboard and they were always given as a special treat.
