About
Gabriela grew up in Buenos Aires, Argentina, but South London has been her home for many years now. She lives and works in Camberwell, where she attended the College of Art in the early 90s.
She trained first in ceramics and later in printmaking, and her work has always featured layered images coupled with a fair amount of bright colour and surface decoration. In recent years her production has focused on collage and decoupage with found imagery and she uses both these techniques to create pictures and upcycle anything from shoes to furniture.
Gabriela also teaches a number of different creative workshops from her Camberwell studio and elsewhere.
