I am Mimi G. editor of mimigstyle.com a popular fashion, style and DIY blog. I have been fortunate enough to have a large and loyal following of fabulous people who share my same enthusiasm for creating. Every day thousands of followers check-in to learn everything from styling + fashion tips, sewing and DIY projects, to finding out what I wore on my "Daily Look" postings.
I started in the fashion world as a self-taught seamstress and in 2010 I had the pleasure of putting a Spring Collection down the runway. After having experienced the life of a "designer" I decided that my true love is in teaching. As a mommy and wife who works in the entertainment industry by day and sews by night, I started blogging as a way to keep a living diary of my own sewing adventures and over a time the popularity of my sewing tutorials, pattern reviews and on trend looks for less have turned my personal blog into a full time business.
In 2012 I hosted the 1st Annual "Meet, Shop + Learn" in Los Angeles, CA where women gathered from all parts of the US to meet me and spend a full day asking questions, learning about fitting and measurements and then a shopping tour of the Los Angeles Fashion District. The event was complete success and I have already begun preparation for the 2nd Annual "Sewing, Fashion + Style" Workshop 2013.
