When did you first start sewing and how did you learn?
I learned to sew in high school both from my mom and by taking a sewing class.
Can you remember the first thing you made?
I think the first real thing that I made was an apron in home ec class in high school.
Do you have any favourite pattern designers or celebrity sewers?
I love to see what patterns Elizabeth Hartman will come up with next. She is so amazingly talented!
What's your sewing room like and how do you organize your stash?
I've kind of taken over our seldom used dining room as a sewing space. It's perpetually messy and covered in fabric, which is good because that means some kind of project is in progress.
What music/podcasts/TV shows do you love to stitch along to?
I love to listen to episodes of The Crown or episodes of the Great British Baking Show while I sew.
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
Quilting/sewing was my main hobby until it morphed into a small business. But I still consider it my hobby. I also enjoy reading, traveling and volunteering at my son's school.
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
Thank you for inviting me to be a Sewing Superstar and for all of the hard work you do for this amazing website!
