When did you first get in to cooking and do you remember the first recipe you tried?
My grandma was a spectacular cook, and I enjoyed watching her cook. It is a standing joke in my family however, that I was unable to boil an egg until I met my hubby, a man who loves a good home cooked meal. The first thing I tried to make him ended up a spectacular fail - shrimp scampi - but I somehow managed to turn it around at the last minute. I started experimenting with food like crazy after that.
What's your kitchen like and how do you keep organized when cooking?
My kitchen is long with a lot of counter space (yay yay yay for counter space). To keep organized, I set out and measure all of my ingredients before I even begin heating up the oven or pan.
What tips would you give to someone wanting to become a better cook?
Practice. And find a friend or family member that loves food who is willing to taste test.
Who would you invite to your dream dinner party and what would you cook for them?
My dream dinner party wouldn't have famous people - It would have all of my closest friends and family members and they would all be able to make it. We would eat tapas and finger foods and indulge on wine and craft beer.
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
I am an amateur photographer and I like to make homemade bath products.
