When did you first start knitting / crocheting and where did you learn?
my aunt got me into knitting and I took a course in a lovely shop in Amsterdam, De Afstap. That was in 2009. From knitting came crocheting in 2010 because I couldn't stand I wasn't able to make nice little decorative borders around my projects.
Can you remember the first thing you made?
Oh yes, it's the trangle scarf I wrote the pattern for. I made it during a very cold winter holiday in Sweden.
Who are your favourite pattern designers and celebrity knitters & crocheters?
I love the books by Kim Hargreaves, the Ooshki dolls by Elena Kovyrzina, anything Vanessa from Cocorose Diaries makes, and from my homeland it has got to be Annemarie from annemarieshaakblog.blogspot.com and Claire from hakenenmeer.blogspot.com
What are your favourite things to stitch and do you have a favorite item you've made?
my blankets, without a doubt. I can not get enough of varying with colour and crochet stitch combinations.
What music/podcasts/TV shows do you love to stitch along to?
crooners and other relaxing but yet energizing music from the 50's
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
yes, I sew too. and I love anything that has to do with paper. Basically I love playing with colour and I find yarn, fabric and paper the ultimate materials to work with.
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
a new initiative I started is create 'n date, a crafty date for anyone who enjoys meeting like minded people, crafting together and inspiring each other, having a real good time while enjoying a lovely latte, cake and lunch. I am very excited for the first event in Amsterdam on June 2nd, 2013. pictures and stories will be uploaded on www.createndate.com
And last but not least, thank you very much for having me!
