When did you first get in to cooking and do you remember the first recipe you tried?
I first got into vegan baking after completing Veganuary this year. I think the first recipe I made was a lemon cake which is still one of my staples. It's a best-seller in my business too!
What's your kitchen like and how do you keep organized when cooking?
My kitchen is small so it gets very messy very quickly. The trick is to clean up as you go along. For example, if somethings being mixed in the stand mixer, I'll take a couple of mins to quickly wash some dishes or utensils I've been using.
What tips would you give to someone wanting to become a better cook?
Practise, practise, practise!
I couldn't cook an oven pizza a couple of years ago, and now I'm making new delicious things every day.
If you love the craft and process just go for it. You will get better with time.
Who would you invite to your dream dinner party and what would you cook for them?
Lana Del Rey, David Attenborough, Brian Cox and Rihanna.
I'd do tapas - it's always fun and sociable!
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
I'm also a singing teacher and a singer myself. I also enjoy playing tennis and doing yoga.
Which cooking blogs do you love to read?
Minimalist Baker and ElaVegan probably have the most hits from me. Minimalist Baker has a recipe for everything on there, and ElaVegan's recipes are some of the tastiest I've tried.
