A Great Update to Friendship Bracelets
I've seen these styles of bracelets all over the shops so I decided to make one with the pile of left over bits of embroidery thread :)

With mine I used 22 inches of chain so it wraps around my wrist a few times. I also used 11 different colors of thread, so I changed colors every 2 inches.

Step 1
Take your first color and tie a knot about 2 inches from an end, but don't tighten it all the way.

With the short end pointing down slide the chain in the knot, so that when you tighten it, it will be below the 2nd ball from the top of the chain.

Now hold the short end of the thread right up next to the chain, and continue to knot around the chain & thread.

To make the knot you make a loop on the right side of the chain, with the thread going behind the chain and over, then through the loop on the right.
Step 2
Keep knotting until you want to change colors. The add the new color the same way you started the first color, but this time you'll have that first colors thread under your new knot also.

So tie a knot a few inches from the end of your new color. The put your chain through the knot, keeping the tails pointing down. Tighten the knot onto the space below the last knot.

Trim the 1st colors thread so there is only 1 inch left on it and continue to knot around the 2 threads and chain.

When you finally cover the last bit of thread from the 1st color there might be a few threads that poke out from the knots, you can just trim them with pointy scissors.

If your worried that your knots aren't tight enough and that they might come undone, just dab a little bit of glue to the 1st knot of each color.
Step 3
Keep knotting and changing colors as you like. I changed colors every 2 inches, but its up to you.

When you get close to the end of the chain, keep going until there is only 2 balls (1 space) left. After your last knot tie a small knot in the thread making as close to the chain as you can get it.

Thread your needle and work back up the chain, threading through about 5 knots. Then knot the thread to the knot on the chain and trim the thread off.

Dab a little bit of glue onto the last know you did with the needle.

Add on your clasp and maybe some charms and enjoy!
