• 

  Step 1

  You'll need a circular placemat of some kind

  It doesn't have to be a placemat; but it helps if it's made of wicker

• 

  Step 2

  Cut it down to the size you want

• 

  Step 3

  Cut the corks with tube cutters (it's a lot easier than with scissors or a knife)

  You can cut them in half, but I cut them in shorter lengths so my mat wouldn't be too high

•

  Start hot gluing!

  Don't forget to glue them to each other on the sides as well. Make them really stick!

  Step 7

  Glue around and around and around

  It's hard to fit some of them in...You'll have to squeeze them in there! I had to rearrange some, putting some slightly bigger ones here and slightly smaller ones there. I also had to carve out some of their sides to fit them in

  It was tedious

  Step 8

  Trim off any excess

• 

  Step 9

  If you used a wicker mat, go around with a lighter and singe the edges out of view

• 

  Step 10

  As you singe, press the melted wicker down to close the edges to keep them from unraveling

• 

  Step 11

  OMG finally it's done

  Now have some wine :)
